So a group of my friends decided to all go out and buy Pokemon Gold/Silver and play through it so we could battle/trade each other. I was trying to play on my regular old GBA when my battery pack ran out. I figured since I haven't played it in forever that I have to recharge it (I bought a special rechargeable pack for my GBA). After a day or so of charging, I tried to play away from a wall socket and the battery life quickly depleted. "Fine," I said to myself "Fuck this, I'll go buy one of those new-fangled Game Boy Micros to enjoy my Pokemon on." After doing a little research and figuring I wanted the 20th Anniversary Famicom GBM I glanced over the specs real quick and was quite pleased, until I looked over the part in bold: NOTE: Plays GBA games only; does not accept Game Boy Classic cartridges or the e-Reader. Also requires a special adapter for connecting with GBA multi-player. Wait..........what? So basically.......I'm paying $100 for a tiny DS.......that can't play DS games. I really don't understand the point of Nintendo releasing this. For like $30 more you can get a new DS and a whole new game library, but you can't play GB/GBC games (basically the same as the Micro). For $20 less, you can get the new SP with improved screen which lets you play GBA/GB/GBC games. So............what's the point of the Micro? It just doesn't make sense money-wise to buy it. I can't actually seeing anyone buying this system; it has no purpose other than aesthetic value. I'm so confused........

Oh well, maybe I'll buy a Micro whenever Nintendo decides to add GB/GBC compatibility, but until then that $100 is probably going to some PS2 games.

So I was cruising around the internet this morning and during my travels I found a Kanye West Contest. One of those instant win things where you get a code then enter it to see if you won. Prizes included: a trip to LA to see Kanye and concert and meet him in person, an iPod Nano, and a signed "Late Registration" CD. I won, but I'll let you guess what I won. Rather exciting to see that my luck is still around.

Other than that, not much else is going on. It seems people have been slowing up recently on their LJ entries, but I plan to keep on chugging along at my own pace.

I was going to say something, but I forgot what......I'll edit if I remember.

Oh wait, here we go. I bought "The College Dropout" CD, first rap CD ever, this weekend. I was driving down my hill listening to Jesus Walks,which has really heavy bass so you know it's a rap song, and I passed up these three white guys pulling some landscaping equipment out of their truck. When I passed by, all of them simultaneously stopped working and looked up at me driving while listening to rap. Suddenly, the all got these smiles on their faces and I knew exactly what they were thinking; so I said to myself, fuck it. I know what they think so that's what I'll do, and then I proceeded to start doing those horrible white people who listen to rap music things, and hip-hopping along. All the while with a little smirk on my face. It felt refreshing, although I was really self conscious after wards.

OH-EM-GEE, my back hurts so fucking bad. I really need to go see a chiropractor, not joking. Whenever I get up in the morning, whenever I do anything physical, whenever I sit down for too long, AAHH BACK ATTACKS. Seriously, I am getting so sick of my back hurting like a bitch, and I have no doubt that this is years of ice hockey's fault.

While I'm at it I would like to blame ice hockey for the fact that I can not put weight on one leg for too long because of my knees. You may not notice but if I'm standing for a long time I'll shift weight between my two legs a lot.

*Sigh* My poor body.........

I don't know why but I've reconnected with Kingdom Hearts lately. It's always been one of my favorite games, but I guess it went to the back of my mind since all the delays on the sequel.

What is this post about? Hmmmm, I really don't know. I had something to say, but it escapes me now.

Maybe.......companionship? I don't know I'm not one of those people that need someone with me all the time, but I sort of might want it at this point. Although.........there is all that effort, and girls are expensive. Plus all the girls that I like usually turn out to be psychos in the end.........I dunno, we'll see.

Isn't it funny how feelings can lead you the wrong way? I recently got into an argument with someone about feelings and they said the world was based around them and would stop turning if we didn't have them. I believe what she mean was "emotions" because my definition of feelings is "a combination of emotion and instincts that often lead people down the wrong path." Recently I went down a horrible path that I knew I shouldn't go on, but I turned to walk on it anyways. For days, I stumbled through the dark bloody and teary eyed and I kept on going even though I knew the path would lead to more pain. Today, I reached a fork from my previous path where I could take the easy road or the hardest road I had ever seen. I looked at both and contemplated, and decided to journey down the hard road once again. I figured if I walk down that path today, then I can face anything in the future. I'll look at a lesser path compared to say the monster I walked today and say to myself "If I walked that path, then I can certainly walk this one." As we all know the correct path isn't often the easiest, but it's still the right path to walk on.

So I visited NYU this weekend it was quite....hmmm......well surprising. I really didn't think I would like a college in NYC, but I did. Their program is really hard to get into and stuff so I'm going to have to pick it up double time in school and on the SATs. I have to break 1400(old SAT scale, dur)!!! Luckily their application process puts 50% importance on GPA/Test Scores/etc. and 50% on the portfolio and I can spin me some bullshit about my art.

I don't think I'm going to apply to Villanova, mostly because I don't know what I would major in their. I really like their campus and the people there, but I don't know what I would do their.

What else...... almost finished my two saftey school's, Penn State and Pitt, applications. All I need to do is finish up my sweet essay with my english tutor and then sent that away. Then wait.......

Hmmmmm still stuff to say, but I can't remember........ I think I'm going to start working out again. Whenever you stop playing sports and stuff your body sort of aches you to do stuff like work out. Like when I was in NYC on a whim before I went to bed I did like 120 sit ups and 75 push-ups. I really don't know what's wrong with me, it felt good though. Like I woke up this morning with that muscle pain you get after working out the day before in my stomache and I was like "Yeah, sweet!"

Hurrrr can't think, I know I wanted to say something else, but I can't.........remember.........DAMN IT. Oh well, if I feel the need I'll update later!

Every morning I get up and I check these sights, I think I have become addicted too them:

Most sell electronics and such. Woot usually sells more expensive stuff (projectors, HDTVs, etc.) SnapGone sells a myriad of different products that are usually pretty cheap, Midnight Box sells mid-priced electronics (blenders, flash MP3 players, vacuums, etc.) Steep and Cheap is the odd-man-out because it sells extreme sport (snowboarding, skiing, mountain climbing, surfing, skateboarding, etc.) gear and differnet everyday stuff like watches and sunglasses. I have only bought stuff from Midnight Box and Steep and Cheap, Midnight Box I enjoy my new wireless PS2 controllers very much, and Steep and Cheap I accidentally bought women's sunglasses and were very nice about returning them. The other's I can't really say anything about because I have not bought anything from them.

Oh man looking at Steep and Cheap......
REMINDER TO SELF: You missed the big ski sale this year, but you still have a chance to make the sale in October. DON'T FUCK THIS UP! You really need to replace your old Volant skis (the good ones made in the USA, before they started making them in other countries) because you have grown about a half a foot since you bought them. If anyone is a good skiier(read: you can at least handle yourself on the double blacks at Seven Springs and such) and can recommend some durable, fast, ready for shit freeride skis feel free to do so.

Ay, today has been rough.

This morning I heard certain places released We Love Katamari early, so I went in search of that. Unfortunately, the stores I checked did not have it in. Later in the afternoon I called my local Toys R Us to see if they had it in stock. They did, at one point in time, but sold out.

Recently I have moved away from anime. I really don't know why and really can't explain it. Not like I have gone cold turkey on the thing, though that may be a good idea. It's just that I haven't bought manga in forever (since last Tekko) and the last anime I bought was Steamboy. This may not seem like a big deal, but my main means of getting anime is buying it, not downloading it. This may seem crazy to some people, but I usually don't end up downloading licensed series. This leads to me downloading new stuff from japan, but I haven't really been into anything lately. This recent downfall in anime has been righted by an inkling toward music.

Right now I seem to be conquering the CDs that I have been wanting to buy for awhile now.
Recently I've purchased:
Stevie Wonder: At the Close of a Century
Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2
GTA: San Andreas Box Set
These purchases costing well over $100 in total. Maybe music just speaks to me more than other mediums. I don't think I have ever really connected with a character in an anime, nor do I think I ever will. This just might be the eventual downfall to my liking towards anime....

On a side note, how many of the IMDb's Top Ten Movies have you seen? I have seen all but two; one of them I own on DVD but have never got around to watching (Schindler's List) and the other I don't own but plan on buying and watching eventually (Seven Samurai).
